Many of them are even unaware of the fact that they are eligible for positions that men enjoy. The result is that the economy of the country is skewed due to underutilization of available human resources. Women are generally considered less competent, both intellectually as well as physically as compared with men. As a result the opportunities extended towards them become biased and obtrusive without actual evaluation of their competencies.

While scientific data proclaims women to be more adept at multi-tasking than men, they still remain the second choice for employers in the country. In major parts of India as well as the world, women are still denied basic education and are never allowed to pursue higher education despite possessing the acumen needed. This colossal waste of talent is definitely holding economies backward. Women empowerment in its actuality is synonymous with complete development of the society.

An educated woman, with knowledge about health, hygiene, cleanliness is capable of creating a better disease-free environment for her family. A shared source of income is much more likely to uplift the quality of life than a single income household and more often than not helps the family come out of poverty trap. Women aware of their legal rights are less likely to be victims of domestic violence or other forms of exploitations.

Their inherent aptitude towards organization and well-rounded maintenance of home makes them uniquely suited for political and civil leadership roles. Participation of women in political and social positions of power has seen marked reduction in corruption in those specific areas which adds another advantageous point in favor of women empowerment.

It is a fact that women are built different than men by nature yet this difference cannot be translated to mean inferiority. In the few last decades, India has witnessed some changes in the status and role of women in our society. Empowering women socially, economically, educationally, politically and legally is going to be a Herculean task. It will not be easy changing the deep-rooted perception that women are inferior, dependent and dispensable, resulting in a culture of disregard for women in Indian society.

But it does not mean that change is implausible. Time is needed to eradicate the perception. But with the push towards the right direction and a lot of effort directed, this task might just be achievable. All we need is an organized approach from the Government and law enforcement agencies of the country focused in the right direction that would rest only with the liberation of women from all forms of evil.

There are various issues like social norms, status and family structure which create a problem for women empowerment in India. The primary question arises right from the birth of a child, as more preference is given to a son over the birth of a girl child. It has been observed that the society is more biased towards a male child at every a stage of life compared to a female child.

The main reason for this kind of beliefs that give priority to a male child comes from a traditional mindset in the Indian society.

Several challenges are coming up, and focusing on these problems can bring hope for a better change in this area. Below listed are few difficulties faced by the Government while resolving women empowerment.

Hence, it is one of the areas which need primary focus. Poverty is not only a threat to the women population but also a significant issue within the country.

Hence, focusing on this point through women empowerment can bring a massive change in the nation as a whole. Healthcare facilities and women safety have been a question for an extended period. It is high time that we take this challenge seriously to make the world a better place for women. Women empowerment is all about giving them the power to take their own decision and letting them lead an independent life.

Apart from this it also uplifts their contribution towards the society and equal importance in every point of life and the community. Women empowerment is undoubtedly the ultimate solution to most of the problems faced by the developing countries. Women empowerment is not just about resolving the challenges faced by women, but also an issue that is affecting the most of the countries in different areas like social, economic and political. In past few years, women were not allowed go to school, they were kept far from education. If women are given correct and enough education then they can be self-sufficient. Women are taken for granted always. There is a huge discrimination between employment opportunities for men and women. Women do not have rights to decide their own educational field, career, life-partner etc. They grow under the fear of society and family which abolish their confidence and keep them away from decision-making.

Have you ever thought about the struggles a woman has to face in her entire life? Talking about personal empowerment, many times women do not have rights to decide what to wear, where to go, where to study, where to work. These all decisions are taken by their parents or siblings.

It is not wrong to take guidance of elder members in the family but there should be self-opinion and decision too. Do you know how many difficulties women have to go through socially? They have to face atrocities like physical harassment, rapes, dowry killings, human trafficking, acid attacks etc. Women are dominated at every phase of life because of gender. This should stop somewhere for being a safe country for women. Women empowerment is giving rights to women in personal, social, political, economic and all judicial fields.

Women can be good leaders or managers if they are given opportunities and platform to prove themselves. They are having qualities better than men. Women empowerment does not mean to discriminate men and worship women but it is about equality. Women should have equal rights in social, political, economic and other judicial things.
